Before I leave Manhattan on July 7th, here are a few important housekeeping items to share.

Introducing my latest painting: a portrait of Angelina Jolie. She will be joining Mickey O’Pitt in a new collection… together in life, together in art.

If you walked into my collegiate apartment on Buswell Street in 2001, you’d find two images of Tony Montana on the wall. Scarface. All you have to do is say the word, and people understand. Okay? Al Pacino’s electric political refugee marks painting number two in my growing ‘Anti-Hero’ series.

When I was commissioned by Matt and Allison to create a Jackson Hole-inspired painting, they wanted me to experience things for myself, so it was wheels up, next stop Wyoming.

I’m delighted to share my first completed painting of 2014: a commission of 55 West 11th Street in Manhattan. Ironically enough, I painted this in Minnesota.

Rockland Lake State Park, Hook Mountain — my latest work, a commissioned painting and surprise gift for a fabulous couple on their One Year Wedding Anniversary.

Allow me to introduce my latest portrait: the man, the legend, Bono. This collage painting was commissioned by Lynn Serra, and contains many personal details within the canvas.

Back in 2007, I was working as a Creative Recruiter at Update Graphics. One day, my colleague Kimberly introduced me to Justin Brock Schantz, then the Managing Director at Fantasy Interactive. Over several months, we got to know one another, and eventually, I ended up joining Justin at FI.
And without further adieu: the final piece on the Larchmont series: Berry’s Favorite Place.
2011 began true and proper with HOV… a work of art, a Warhol (already). He was both the first of my #KingsOfHipHop, and the first painting of the year.

Another newsletter? You got that right. I'll honor and respect your inbox, as if it were my own. I endeavor to share everything happening at Borbay Studios & Gallery. No daily updates. No weekly updates. Simply a message, every month or two... updates on life, creativity, and the journey that began on July 2, 2009. Let's be in touch, as the first leg of my quest reaches completion in 2026. From a studio in my 600-foot Upper East Side apartment living room, to a museum collection. Oh, but friend, that is just the beginning. The road is long, and I am looking for cool, sophisticated company to navigate each challenging turn.
You're here, and I love you for it.
