Vegas baby! For a second year, Ari Lankin and yours truly, this year joined by Paul Zepeda, shipped off to Vegas for nine days of painting madness. I’m starting off with my Welcome to Las Vegas Redux painting… here is last year’s.

Greetings from Las Vegas! This is just a quick update to say… more is coming. I’ll have recaps of Broadway Bares at Planet Hollywood, The Vegas Sign Redux, The Four Queens and Live Painting at Surrender at the Wynn.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
NEW YORK, NY – April 2, 2012 — Creator of the #KingsOfHipHop and Time Out Magazine’s Most Creative New Yorker, Borbay, is now showcasing four prints in the Major League Baseball Fan Cave. Located at the former home of the iconic Tower Records on 4th Street & Broadway in New York City’s Greenwich Village, the Fan Cave will host a concert series, celebrity appearances and, quite notably, 9 Cave Dwellers who will watch every game of the 2012 MLB season.
Take a look at this beautiful video created by talented artist and teacher Lora Sanders. Each year Lora’s students create work in the Borbay style, using my online process as a guideline. The video tells the tale… so I’ll let it do the talking.
It’s not easy being the Mayor of Manhattan… let alone, an entrepreneurial billionaire. But, Mike Bloomberg gets the job done. So, when a friend suggested I paint a skateboard deck, I thought: who is the least likely guy to wind up on a board? So, to celebrate 4 new NYC social media channels, I present to you: Mayor BloomBoard.
And without further adieu: the final piece on the Larchmont series: Berry’s Favorite Place.
While Joe Flacco and Tom Brady were busy exchanging sacked lunches, Ryan Seslow and yours truly were hosting the opening reception for Street Legal Gratiffyti: Seslow & Borbay on Canvas at Iona College. The opening was a smashing success, thanks to Iona College, Madalyn Barbero and the entire team.
2011 began true and proper with HOV… a work of art, a Warhol (already). He was both the first of my #KingsOfHipHop, and the first painting of the year.
Last night, I had the pleasure of joining a truly talented group to pay tribute to a wonderful charity: HopeForThem. Musicians, artists, St Germain and a crack team joined forces at Gallery 151 to provide entertainment, raise money and gather toys for the children of Haiti.
