2020 Year In Review
Ah, retrospect. This is how I kicked-off the year. On the precipice of 2021, we now know the answer is “less of 2020.”
Friend — destinations to digest the horrors of 2020 are legion… worry not! This is a happy place.
So grab a cocktail (you deserve it), kick back, and let’s have a look at some quarantine-driven creativity.

2016 Year In Review — Western Destiny Realized
If you would have told me, “man, you’ll be a married father-of-two, living in Idaho by your 36th year”… I’d have replied, “whatcha talkin’ bout”, and called you Willis.
Fittingly, 2016 began with my second self portrait — capturing this reality. Artist selfies take longer.
Million Dollar Cowboy Bar Painting Part Two
In August, I had the pleasure of sharing the stage with local landowner and thespian, Harrison Ford, at the Murie Ranch for the Spirit of Conservation Awards. My contribution was a commissioned, original painting — which was live auctioned by Larry Flynn to benefit the merged Teton Science Schools and Murie Center. Added bonus? Coraline is now a student at Teton Science.

2015 was Voltron. Vega was born in February. One month later we found ourselves in Exuma, and in July, we left Manhattan for good. The nomadic lifestyle was good to us… and, in fact, it was during our stay in Teton Village that we decided to move to ‘The End Of The Trail’.
Here’s what went down on the road (NSFW, just kidding, it’s very safe).
2015 — Borbay’s Year In Review
2015 was so huge, it took me until mid-January to post the year-in-review! The game changer? On February 5th, at 7:45AM, Vega arrived aquatically in our Manhattan living room… joining Erin, Coraline and me. One month later, she had a passport and was living in The Bahamas… we then left Manhattan, moved to Minnesota, then to Jackson Hole, and back to Minnesota…
Coraline And The Mighty Tetons In Jackson Hole
It was a magical three months in Jackson Hole. The country was gorgeous, and inspiration ran deep. Early in our adventure, we took a trip to Teton National Park… there, I captured a moment of Coraline taking in the majestic Tetons.
