Trading the skyscrapers of Manhattan for the greenery of Minnetonka has been an incredible experience. As we prepare for our next adventure in Jackson Hole… I wanted to reach out and share the latest.
1. Bubbles
While I paint, TV keeps me company. About a year ago, I discovered The Trailer Park Boys on Netflix and instantly fell in love. Accordingly, I decided to paint Mike Smith’s now iconic character — Bubbles. Here are the hot links:
- Painting Process
- New Process Video Format (pour a scotch and enjoy)
- The Trailer Park Boys called it a “Masterpiece”

2. My Kind of Town… House
Fittingly, the first painting I started in Minnetonka was this portrait of an Upper East Side town house.
3. More Forbes
I’ve been interviewing and showcasing interesting people in the art world — here are the latest, now live on Forbes:
- Conversation With Artist Domingo Zapata
- Conversation With Verni Founder Robin Greenwood
- Price Ranges And Studio Images Of 20 Contemporary Artists
- Conversation With Artist Paolo Troilo
4. Shipping Logistics
I’m available to personally ship paintings until September 30th — after that, I will have a team processing shipments remotely. You can view my available works here.
Have a wonderful fall — I look forward to being in touch through the holidays!

Another newsletter? You got that right. I'll honor and respect your inbox, as if it were my own. I endeavor to share everything happening at Borbay Studios & Gallery. No daily updates. No weekly updates. Simply a message, every month or two... updates on life, creativity, and the journey that began on July 2, 2009. Let's be in touch, as the first leg of my quest reaches completion in 2026. From a studio in my 600-foot Upper East Side apartment living room, to a museum collection. Oh, but friend, that is just the beginning. The road is long, and I am looking for cool, sophisticated company to navigate each challenging turn.
You're here, and I love you for it.
