Yesterday, I collaborated with many of the best IMPROVers and Artists in NYC for The New Museum’s Ideas City festival at R Bar. Above, you will find the 45 minute tag-team style painting created with Jeremy Penn and Jake Nelson, inspired by IMPROV comedy by The Creative Outlets, which was inspired by slides of our artwork. This past Saturday, myself, fellow artist Jake Nelson and some of my favorite people got together to enjoy a beautiful day in Gotham.
New York, NY – May 12, 2011 — Last night, a four panel (40″X32″ collectively) self-portrait of Andy Warhol auctioned at Christie’s for $38.4 Million Dollars. This, of course, is an impressive sum for a piece of art. In fact, to put this in perspective, here is a Warholian chart outlining what you could get for this one painting (click image to enlarge):
