Yesterday, I collaborated with many of the best IMPROVers and Artists in NYC for The New Museum’s Ideas City festival at R Bar. Above, you will find the 45 minute tag-team style painting created with Jeremy Penn and Jake Nelson, inspired by IMPROV comedy by The Creative Outlets, which was inspired by slides of our artwork. The, full, creative, circle, comma.

The blank slate, and a shout to R Bar, which, if you haven’t been, you should, because it’s awesome. Stripper poles should be in every bar.
Raw palette. Super raw.
They improvise based on slides of our artwork…
We create based on their improv based on our artwork. I started the canvas out with a quick sketch and a collage of the players on mis-matched bodies.
Somebody is checking me out, but I ain’t gonna say who.
Red handed… silver hatted.
Jake Nelson (not pictured) got all up in this canvas with a giant mouth, and then shit started to pop-off.
Jeremy blasted the “hot lips” with some dripping red, which brought the sexy time.
Mr. Penn, about to sneak in some luscious last minute touches…
Boom baby! 45 minutes, three artists, one canvas going to charity. As always, a pleasure working with Rory Scholl and the Creative Outlets.
