Rewind to December, 2010. I recall pondering a portrait series, but found I had 99 problems and picking a portrait subject was one. As fate would have it, I decided to paint Jay Z, which lead to a series of hip hop stars nearly identical to Zack O’Malley Greenburg’s Cash Kings.
It was soon to be a dark and stormy night at Waterfront Park, home of the Trenton Thunder. But before the rain fell, I had the distinct pleasure of presenting portraits I created of David Robertson and Robinson Cano to the stars.
As I mentioned in the Robinson Cano recap, I’ve met some great people through the Major League Baseball Fan Cave. This is the second portrait created for the MVP Foundation — New York Yankee David Robertson.
