Introducing my fourth Art Exuma painting — “Mindscape Exuma Shadow”.

On Saturday morning, my Family embarked upon a journey… NYC to Miami to George Town. This isn’t necessarily a difficult itinerary, but we were with our 20-month-old, 6-week-old and enough luggage for two months. Such is the case, upon arrival in The Bahamas — we were thrilled. I’m now spending time in paradise as an Artist-In-Residence.

Introducing my latest painting — Bill Shelton, in full stride on the beach in Mustique. I had the good fortune of meeting Bill through friend and collector Gareth Evans.
Dear Friends, Family, Collectors and Fans, 2015 has been momentous. On February 5th, at 7:45AM, Vega Keanne joined our Family. On the easel? Ive painted The Lincoln Memorial, a second Mindscape, and several new commissions. Beyond the studio? Im now a contributing writer with Forbes. Oh yes, and Im off to the Bahamas for two months to paint on the beach. Lets get granular. Read more

Four days after my second Daughter, Vega Keanne, was born, I began a new ‘Mindscape’ painting. It began with a free-hand, free-association line drawing. Once the drawing was completed, I painted colors devoid of specific thought. The experience is both cathartic and exciting.

Henry Bacon’s Lincoln Memorial delivers a theatrical synergy between art and architecture. The terrace walls and lower steps comprise granite blocks from Massachusetts – the upper steps, exterior facade, and columns contain marble blocks from Colorado – the interior walls and columns are Indiana limestone – the floor is pink Tennessee marble – the ceiling tiles are Alabama marble – and the Lincoln statue comprises 28 pieces of Georgia marble.

Dear Friends, Family, Collectors and Fans — 2014 has been my finest year, and I owe you a debt of gratitude. Thank you, thank you, thank you. The easel has been on fire…

This 30″X30″ Acrylic and Collage Painting on Canvas of Serena Williams will be auctioned to benefit the Serena Williams Fund in South Beach this Friday.
