It’s been an intense October. As the paint flies and the leaves color, crisp and fall — here’s what’s happening in my world… and beyond.
1. Enoch Malachi Thompson
“Never let the truth get in the way of a good story kid.” Wise words from Steve Buscemi’s Nucky Thompson — the politician with a heart of gold. For years I’ve wanted to paint ‘The Busc’ — and along came Boardwalk Empire.
2. Painting Pepsi
Perched majestically on the East River in front of an intentionally cantilevered building sits the storied Pepsi Cola Sign. I was commissioned to paint it from Long Island City facing Manhattan.

3. In Louvre With Nucky
That time my Nucky was meme’d by a fan… and it felt real.
4. Everything is Sharp
Every six months or so, I hire an expert photographer to catalogue my work… last week, Paul Takeuchi of ‘Art Slides NYC’ came by the studio and did an exceptional job — here’s what he snapped:
