I may live in Idaho, but New York City still courses through my veins. So, you can imagine my immense pleasure when I was commissioned to paint Zabar’s — an Upper West Side icon. I can still taste the coffee and black-and-white’s in my mind (and thanks to Goldbelly, literally)…

A Collage Painting Portrait of Bene by Borbay
I’m delighted to share my latest portrait — ‘Bene’, an 30″X30″, Acrylic Collage-Painting on Belgian Linen. A dear friend, Bene and I met out on the golf course… and, for the record — if I’m within 15 strokes of Bene, it’s a damn good day for yours truly.

Atelier Klimat Event Photos — Living NYC Artists Mingle With The Living
As seen in BlackBook and Max’s Kansas City, Atelier Klimat‘s opening reception began at 7PM and carried on late into a stormy Manhattan evening that saw lightening strike the Empire State Building thrice. A terribly good-looking crowd braved said storm to soak up the art and atmosphere of Klimat, a premier East Village establishment.

Painting Process | Woolworth Building, WhenTech 7WTC
My painting of the Woolworth Building from financial technology leader WhenTech’s 34th floor 7 World Trade Center office has been completed. The first sessions focused on creating the structure during the day. Subsequent efforts included darkening the picture, then recreating the man-made lights at night.
