Introducing Reservoirscape… the second painting in my free-flowing landscape series.

Something new. Something different. For reasons I can not yet share, I was presented with the opportunity to create a large scale painting of an African landscape. Based on four different photographs, I cobbled together a composition on this 48″X60″ canvas.

In 2009, I decided to paint The Guggenheim for twenty years, each summer, from the same corner, on the same size canvas, with the sole variable being my style. This is Guggenheim 5… the latest of my recent futurist works, joining the Seattle Space Needle, Central Park South, Sutton Place, Welcome to Las Vegas Sign and The Bellagio.

Allow me to introduce my latest portrait: the man, the legend, Bono. This collage painting was commissioned by Lynn Serra, and contains many personal details within the canvas.

Back in 2007, I was working as a Creative Recruiter at Update Graphics. One day, my colleague Kimberly introduced me to Justin Brock Schantz, then the Managing Director at Fantasy Interactive. Over several months, we got to know one another, and eventually, I ended up joining Justin at FI.
This year, enjoy Black Friday and Cyber Monday differently. This year, consider buying a work of art. I’m offering free domestic shipping (50% off international) and will be donating $1000 to the American Red Cross on each sale, until 11.30.2012. Check my body of work — interested in a commission?

Last night, I attended Cristie Kerr’s Birdies for Breast Cancer Celebrity Golf Classic. Graciously promoted by Dailymotion, this painting auctioned to benefit the charity. Here is a brief recap of a fine evening on the New Jersey waterfront.

Another newsletter? You got that right. I'll honor and respect your inbox, as if it were my own. I endeavor to share everything happening at Borbay Studios & Gallery. No daily updates. No weekly updates. Simply a message, every month or two... updates on life, creativity, and the journey that began on July 2, 2009. Let's be in touch, as the first leg of my quest reaches completion in 2026. From a studio in my 600-foot Upper East Side apartment living room, to a museum collection. Oh, but friend, that is just the beginning. The road is long, and I am looking for cool, sophisticated company to navigate each challenging turn.
