2014 was my finest year in every possible way. Coraline crawled, walked, ran… I traveled extensively to Jackson Hole, Vegas, LA, Chicago, Montreal, Vancouver, Miami, The Bahamas and Minnesota. It was a record year for sales, and, most importantly, the artistic fulfillment was deep.

Her folks, Jeanne and Tom, hosted our dream wedding in their Minnetonka, Minnesota backyard this past July. I couldn’t think of a better moment to capture than this image of my wife smiling in the backyard where she grew up and where we were married.

On a bright, sunny Minnesotan day – I set up my easel in the Hessel yard to paint some flowers. Not my typical subject matter, but I needed to sharpen the dagger for Tuesday’s main event – the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden at the Walker Art Center, downtown Minneapolis.
