It was soon to be a dark and stormy night at Waterfront Park, home of the Trenton Thunder. But before the rain fell, I had the distinct pleasure of presenting portraits I created of David Robertson and Robinson Cano to the stars.

Through the Major League Baseball Fan Cave, I’ve met some incredible people — one such individual is Doctor Thomas Haveron. After a few phone calls, Doc told me about his MVP Foundation, I offered to get involved… and that’s how I ended up painting Robinson Cano and David Robertson.

On Easter Sunday, 2011, I was painting the El Cortez Hotel on Fremont Street in Las Vegas alongside fellow artist Ari Lankin. That day, a woman named Susan Pieper stopped by and asked if she could take a couple of action photos. We agreed, and I added, “it would be great if you can send those over if you have a chance.”

Here is the second painting in my Larchmont, New York commissioned series for the wonderful Hoffman family. This particular 24″X30″ canvas is painted from the perspective of sitting in the hot tub… and is aptly entitled, “Laura’s Favorite Place”.
