Last night, I had the pleasure of joining a truly talented group to pay tribute to a wonderful charity: HopeForThem. Musicians, artists, St Germain and a crack team joined forces at Gallery 151 to provide entertainment, raise money and gather toys for the children of Haiti.

BIG NEWS: friend and artist Jeremy Penn will represent the United States of America at The Pan-American Games in Mexico this August. Two Year Anniversary of Being a Professional Artist
Exactly two years ago, I declared my independence and became a full-time “Professional Location Artist” — my longest career to-date. Since then, I’ve had the honor of being named Time Out New York’s Most Creative New Yorker 2009, secured and delivered over 50 commissions, painted 162 canvases, and created on-location in Manhattan, Milan, Chicago, Minnesota, Las Vegas and Jamaica.
Borbay and Lankin Paint Live at Broadway Bares XXI: Masterpiece in Manhattan
Our Broadway Bares adventure began when Ari Lankin painted an impromptu tatoo on the arm of a Kriss Angel dancer in front of the Welcome to Las Vegas Sign. They suggested we paint live at Broadway Bares Las Vegas, which we did, at Planet Hollywood. A few weeks back, Ari received a call requesting the live-painting action for the fittingly named “Broadway Bares XXI: Masterpiece” at the Roseland Ballroom on Father’s Day (the Vegas installment was on Easter Sunday). And just like that, it was on.

New York, NY – May 12, 2011 — Last night, a four panel (40″X32″ collectively) self-portrait of Andy Warhol auctioned at Christie’s for $38.4 Million Dollars. Atelier Klimat Event Photos — Living NYC Artists Mingle With The Living
As seen in BlackBook and Max’s Kansas City, Atelier Klimat‘s opening reception began at 7PM and carried on late into a stormy Manhattan evening that saw lightening strike the Empire State Building thrice. A terribly good-looking crowd braved said storm to soak up the art and atmosphere of Klimat, a premier East Village establishment.
