Warhol Portrait Auctions for 38.4MM: Market Perspective For Collectors
New York, NY – May 12, 2011 — Last night, a four panel (40″X32″ collectively) self-portrait of Andy Warhol auctioned at Christie’s for $38.4 Million Dollars. A terribly good-looking crowd braved said storm to soak up the art and atmosphere of Klimat, a premier East Village establishment.

At the tail end of January, Ken Marquis hit me up about the landmark global artist reclamation project. In his words, “The project will involve one thousand and forty-one (1,041) artists worldwide.
