Daniels Place — The Majestic Teton River

Daniels Place Teton River Painting by Borbay

During my commute to and from Borbay Studios & Gallery, I often promise to — “get out there and capture Teton Valley’s beauty.”

With my eldest daughter Coraline home-schooling, I found that very moment. As for the location? A generous offer from my good friends Andy and Lisa Daniels presented itself. They allowed us to set-up and paint their breathtaking view of the Teton River.

Rammell Barn Painting, A Teton Springs Landmark

Rammell Barn Painting Teton Springs By Borbay

But you never know if, once the city has returned to dust and the vast Idaho winds have unearthed the great hulking corpse, it will set sail through the loam and finally off into the atomic sunset that had been promised here so long ago.

The Neon Cowboy Painting by Borbay

I decided to invent a neon painting. The concept: a cowboy on a bucking horse, swangin’ his Indiana Jones style whip, atop electric grass, with the mighty Tetons far off in the distance… my result? “The Neon Cowboy” — not to be confused with “The Electric Horseman“.
