Last night, WeWork hosted a Meet Moi event, put together by Streetwater: I brought my easel. Painted this. And drank beer with my friends.
Here is a fabulous snap taken by Han Lee… a former advertising colleague of mine who stopped by to say what’s up… captures the scene popping-off in SOHO.
A blank slate… you can vaguely see the street corner I was painting in the window. The buildings. They’re real.
Going for a new direction, I decided to bang out the canvas with a paint pen… which was fun, though I murdered the poor implement in one outing.
Another shot by Han… as you can see, it was a thumbs up type of night.
Pretty much drawn… here, I decided to add select panels of color. Or colour if your into that whole Anglophile scene.
Blues and muddy oranges, for the win.
And there you have it… a night in SOHO. Big thanks to Miss Lipp, WeWork and Meet Moi for a fabulous event.
Now, your moment of zen: Clintel and his boy, checking out my painting in the picture above.
