My third session as Artist-In-Residence at the luscious Four Seasons Resort and Residences Jackson Hole was quite a night! While painting the Welcome to Teton Village sign, I had some star-studded company… and even a little help from my friends.

Rock out to the entire process in a hot minute, soak in some MH the Verb… and be sure to keep reading… if only for the eyebrows.

Did I get botox, or do my eyebrows naturally arch like Jack Nicholson’s? I’ll never tell. I have copied the great Jack before…

OK, party time… during my initial three-month residency in Teton Village, I became mildly obsessed with the Welcome sign. This, incidentally, is not the only Welcome sign I’ve become fixated on.

The only pre-drawing was the quadrants… everything else was free hand style… one go, no edits. Once the sign and mountain line were in, I hopped to the sky. Mmmmm. Sky.

The one and only Patrick Daley rolled through with his beautiful family for a cocktail and some painterly fun.

Watching closely while my protégé, Owen, handled a few critical strokes, while his Mom, Laura Daley, provided a much needed boost.

Not to be out done, the multi-talented Katrina Ryan painted the “O” and “N” in ‘Teton’ with great acumen. Before I forget, if you haven’t already scored tickets for Jackson Hole Food & Wine… it’s going to be off the chain.

Oh yes, time to bang out the road, and identify the mountain shapes. Despite drawing them in myself, I didn’t notice the ‘LOVE’ until Brandon Ryan pointed it out. Can you see the love? Joining in on the fun were Megan and Kieran Gallagher…

Always staying loose while painting wood. You don’t want to be the alternative. You know.

Painting the village was a lot of fun… focused on expressive marks, exciting colors, contrast and balance.

And there she is, above the fireplace (not pictured, the fire).

Friend. Welcome to Teton Village… all of your dreams await! Alas, this painting has found a new home. Here are the rest of the paintings from the residency… what shall I paint next?

Let's be in touch, as the first leg of my quest reaches completion in 2026. From a studio in my 600-foot Upper East Side apartment living room, to a museum collection. Oh, but friend, that is just the beginning. The road is long, and I am looking for cool, sophisticated company to navigate each challenging turn.
