Tomorrow is the day… Red Bull Curates. It’s going to be epic. Here is a video of the creation of my fridge in one minute.
On Thursday, my Canvas Wrapped Cooler will show alongside some absolutely incredible creations. I can honestly say, the quality of artists in this exhibition is high. High, to very high. Here is the Facebook invite, as you can see, things are scorching hot. Here’s a quick update for yours truly.
Showing up in BK to get our paint on at Villain… the event venue.
Trying to get my reflection in Zepeda’s shades… fail on that account, but I still like the picture.
Red Bull Curates Paul Zepeda.
A nice snap from Alison LaBarte of yours truly painting.
One of those blurry background pictures taken without a filter. They occur naturally on occasion.
My signed cooler from one side… it’s the Borbay logo all sorts of layered over NY Post headlines.
Post mastheads on the door frame… the masking tape is still applied to the cooler, it will look much sexier when plugged-in and full of Red Bull.
The other side of the cooler… did a positive/negative relief motif with the headlines; black on white, white on black.
Turning the corner toward the back of my fridge.
Since this side will literally face the wall, I decided to roll with it, keep it simple and call it what it is.
A view from the top… raw headlines.
From the top looking down. And that’s it! At 6PM on Thursday, September 13, 2012, you will have the chance to vote for my cooler. If you’re up for it, my voter code will be BORBAY — regardless of the final three, it’s an honor to be showing alongside these talented artists. Red Bull, The Arts Fund and Villain rolled out the red carpet for us — a truly first class experience.
