On Friday, I had the pleasure of joining Jackson Hole’s finest for Leadercast 2016. Hosted by Silicon Couloir at the National Museum of Wildlife Art, I spent my afternoon painting the Leader.
Action!
Kicking things off with a quick contour.
Establishing the background, painting around the leader.
A fabulous shot by Mark Wilcox, who also covered the event for the Wyoming Business Report.
A solid brown background…
And the letters are now painted blue… to illustrate how colors play… the background color hasn’t changed from the shot above.
Placing those imaginary neon tubes.
Working into the letters with some blue… and exploring different patterns in the background… this is where the painting stands… nearly completed.
And, after some studio time… the painting has been completed!
The fabulous Leadercast Jackson Hole team… not pictured — Silicon Couloir, Executive Director — Scott Fitzgerald, who in fact, snapped the shot. Bill Watkins’ (third from the right) Rusty Lion Academy has a contest for a free coaching adventure in Jackson Hole — check it out.
Focus begins with the art.
The weather was bearable.
The ol’ reverse painting commute — created in a museum, taken back to the studio. Thank you Scott and the entire team for an excellent experience.
