Thanks to the wonderful and talented Paula Caselton and Jerry Mitchell — Ari Lankin, Paul Zepeda and yours truly were invited to live paint at Broadway Bares Las Vegas. 2012’s edition entitled “Barelesque” was a sexy, rollicking good time.
While the finest performers in Las Vegas shook their money makers on-stage, we had 45 minutes to create a painting from the aisles.
Immediately upon completion, Absinthe’s stars The Gazillionaire and Penny Pibbets auctioned our works. Carson Kressley won my painting, Tia Carrere nabbed Zepeda’s and Ari’s went to a pair of gallerists.
And now… sheer awesome madness under the sexy lights at Planet Hollywood on the Las Vegas Strip.
Following a hot auction, I was feeling pretty damn good, so a double thumbs up was warranted.
If you saw the video above, you’ll agree that JP needs, at very least, his own radio show. Awesome job bro.
Me, Gil and Zepeda rocking out… if you get to Vegas, go to The Sign and look for Gil… he is a maestro with the camera.
Yes, those are black boxes over… well… boobs, bulges and boxes.
The Gazillionaire and Zepeda… Cash Money Gazillionaires.
Buckets of cash? Sure, why not? The audience stuffs it in the pants of the performers, who put it in the bucket… then, the bucket goes to the vault. All for charity yo.
I’m sorry, but I had to post this. Happiest picture of Paul ever.
Zepeda and Carmona, finally.
Paul gets a hug from our special lady Paula Caselton, who did a great job with this event!
Gil’s looking badass, which makes sense.
Sheila still glistening from a stellar performance and yours truly, in front of the painting.
Carson Kressley checks out his new painting…
Carson and Tia Carrere on the scene.
And finally, Paul Zepeda and his new collector, Tia Carrere. And for the record, it’s true, if a frog had wings, it wouldn’t bump its ass when it hopped.
And the painting… a collage of Vegas, from its inception to the moment… now, in the collection of one Mr. Carson Kressley. Thank you Carson and thank you Jerry Mitchell for bidding, creating this event, and, well, everything.
Play it again Sam.
And my Four Queens Process…
Nicely done, my man! Hope to catch up soon.
Thank you Scott!
